The notice for a Marriage or Death is a particularly rich resource. A Marriage notice typically gives the full names of the Bride and Groom, their residences, the date and place of the marriage, the groom's occupation and quite often the father's name of one or both. A Death notice usually gives the time and place of the event, the deceased's occupation and nearest relation. A Birth notice usually gives the date and place (sometimes including a street address), the father's name and the sex of the child. The child's name is never given; the mother's original surname only rarely.
